Aptitudes are not completely inherent or natural. They are developed through learning.

Here is the AI definition:

"Aptitude is a natural ability or potential to learn or perform a specific task or skill. It can also refer to a natural liking for an activity."

What it means is that a person has a natural tendency to acquiring a skill or talent. In terms of becoming a mathematicuan or scientist, it does not mean that the person is a genius and knows it all already. Even Einstein had to study and read books, acquire book knowledge. And climate change, Eric, is far from an Einstein.

Here is another dictionary definition of idiot savant since you are so narrowly focused on aptitude:

1.

"a very learned or talented person, especially one distinguished in a particular field of science or the arts."

Look up idiot if you don't know what that means.
