Yes, I've been taking 50 mg of Metoprolol twice a day.

Interestingly, when I'm in AFib, I treat it with diltiazem, no extended release
but specifically diltiazem. That diltiazem is always accompanied by a small drop
in blood pressure. So far, over the years, I've always converted after 12 to 18 hours
and taken a total of about 240 to 300 mg. I wonder if my body responds differently to
the extended release diltiazem as opposed to straight diltiazem?

The ER did check electrolytes, enzymes and kidney function, all were in range.

My internist has suggested 20 mg of Lisinopril twice daily and wants to know on
Friday how that has worked. Meanwhile, I have a 7 day Holter schedule to start
on Monday and with luck I'll actually see the Cardio to talk with him.

Overall I'm just really concerned with the amount of medication I'm taking and having no
clue what's actually driving the spike. I've a vacay planned to start on March 14 and would
like some kind of answers before I head out of town.

Great response and thank you.
