The Nasdaq-100’s ( NDX) latest peak was not long for this world.

With Thursday’s stock selloff, the Nasdaq-100 ( NDX) has lost 7.5% from its all-time high of 22,222.61 notched just six days ago.

The index's ( NDX) close Thursday at 20,550.95 cemented the fastest +5% decline from an all-time high since September 2020, with Bespoke Investment Group earlier flagging the potential move.

Nvidia’s ( NVDA) 8.5% tumble Thursday contributed to the 2.8% slide on the Nasdaq-100 ( NDX). The AI chipmaker’s 2026 guidance issued late Wednesday beat Wall Street’s targets, as did Q4 results, but revenue growth slowed to ~79% from 265% a year earlier.

The Invesco QQQ ETF (NASDAQ: QQQ), the market’s fifth-largest exchange-traded fund, fell 2.8% Thursday. That move locked in a 7.5% decline from its high of 540.81 on February 19, the same session as the Nasdaq-100's ( NDX) peak.
