The reason am dubious re the team USA report re China rail wheels is that China rails are all over Africa, Middle East, and Indonesia, and of course in China, and ONLY team USA reports wheel issues, which I then, as a reasoning engineer must put the suspicion on factors particular and peculiar to team USA domain. The wheels are also an issue in a line (only line) built for India. The problem in India is that India tried to renege on original build cost and had to skimp on maintenance. Have travelled much on China high speed rail and wouldn’t you know, never ever had any issues, not one. I must believe own experience, a safe bet.
