I'm really surprised you got ambushed over the membership fee issue and that this has been the primary topic of this board during your trial period. From what I've seen, investors on these boards (and others like MF) are constantly trying to get a handle on how their companies are doing given the stew of information available from the Internet and print media. You can provide valuable insight into how to interpret news about sales figures, publishing alliances, technology, industry trends, personalities, and intellectual property issues. None of this requires you to disclose any "inside information". Some of the specific problem areas I've seen on this board and others: * people trying to guess worldwide product sales and resulting revenue from a one-month snapshot of US or UK TRST or PC Data numbers * attempts to assess the impact of a publishing alliance, developer defection, product announcement, etc. * attempts to figure out how this industry is viewed by the Street and how individual companies are interacting with the institutions and investors which specialize in their stocks As an investor in the interactive software industry and as a partner in a development shop working on a couple of Unreal-based action/strategy games, I have a keen interest in the welfare of the companies in the publishing community. These boards have been the source of useful information. You can do nothing but add value. I, for one, would welcome your presence on this board. Even if people disagree with your position on membership fees, they should still take advantage of the industry experience you can bring to the table in answering questions about GTIS. Just my opinion. -Michael
