Zelensky has no reason to complain after then SecState Blinken made known through the Washington Post that US cut off diplomatic contacts with Russia after the war started and after a year of diplomacy where the US refused to give a security guarantee (aka peace treaty) and to remove short-range nuclear missiles from nations adjacent to the Russian border.
