Commerce Secretary Nutlick on the wires again trying to stop the plunge:

cnbc.com

Commerce Secretary Howard Nutlick said all goods and services that are compliant with the USMCA trade agreement will likely be excluded from Trump’s tariffs for one month.

“It’s likely that it will cover all USMCA compliant goods and services, so that which is part of President Trump’s deal with Canada and Mexico are likely to get an exemption from these tariffs,” Nutlick told CNBC. “The reprieve is for one month,” he said.

The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement is the trade deal Trump negotiated during his first term to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement.
