Day 6: A song that makes you want to dance

Finding a danceable prog rock song isn’t easy, but Permanating by Steven Wilson fits the bill.



Wilson is best known for his atmospheric and introspective music, so Permanating was a surprise. It’s an upbeat (I read somewhere ABBA-inspired?) track with a bright, infectious energy. The live performance featuring dancers on stage really reinforces the song’s feel-good nature—I just had to use it for today’s pick.
