I am collecting A Remarkable Place to Die, so good to hear it is watchable.

Here's the review of The Gone I posted here a few years ago. FWIW, I did actually collect Season 2 and have decided to try it anyway.

I just finished the new series The Gone. Two Irish visitors are murdered in a remote New Zealand village in a manner eerily reminiscent of similar murders 20 years before. In to solve it come an Irish cop with secrets possibly related to both murders, and an Maori cop returning to her birthplace from the big cities. Needless to say she also has secrets which may relate to either or both murders. You can probably imagine much of the resulting story, and the never really lifts off compared to all the similar story lines we have all watched. The setting is mighty purty, but that is not enough for liftoff. It ended with a setup for another season. Will I watch it? Not sure.
