GNG, IAU, EDV
Last year Golden Goliath Resources aka GNG diverted from their previous exploration of gold prospects in Ontario to add four REE prospects in Québec. After mapping and sampling and geophysics, they have now dropped one of these properties. They don't mention any details, but there is a lot of work to be done. For instance, although the properties are located near the Manicougan impact crater which created many mineral deposits in the area, they still don't know if these REE deposits are related to that impact or not.

FWIW, in the wake of Nevada gold miner i-80 Gold aka IAU releasing their 5th PEA in less than a month (!!), this one on the Granite Creek open pit, Scotia issued a new analyst report on IAU. Citing the results as showing mining this open pit as a key part of IAU becoming a mid-tier gold producer, not to mention increasing its attractiveness for financing, they called the PEA a Mild Positive and kept IAU at Sector Outperform with a $1.50 target.
FWIW, in the wake of yesterday's release of Q4 results by West African gold miner Endeavour Mining aka EDV, Scotia issued a new analyst report that called the results Mixed. They noted that although EPS exceeded their projection, it was lower than consensus due to withholdings on capital movements within the company. Hence they expected a selloff today, which happened, but think this presents a buying opportunity because the financial issue they noted is transitory. Also noting a 38% increase in mineral Reserves, they kept EDV at Sector Perform with a $40 target. |
