Sure we could see a vix spike above 50 - wouldn't be the first time - covid was in the 80s in the heights of the panic selling - shows some fear in the markets - I would probably take it as a contrarian indicator though & as bullish. We can all see the fear in the markets - doesn't mean well V bottom into new highs right away - it can take weeks of whipsawing near the lows before moving higher. From past memory - sometimes you'll start seeing news like that of a coming crash near the lows of the market lol..... ahh who knows.....I shoulda got long back in 2009 when I was in high sko0l.
