My personal preference is for permanent DST. But mostly, my sense has been people just want the change to stop and care less about where it stops. But I don't really know that; I haven't given much consideration to which time we ended up with. The older I get the more I dislike the change, regardless of the direction.

But perhaps the perfect will once again be the enemy of the improved. Maybe some protests with burning cities will be needed to find agreement.
