If you live in tick infected areas, chickens are great for keeping the population down if they are allowed to roam.

Certainly easy to tell free range chickens by the color of the yolk.

We purchased a half cow early last fall from upstate NY along Route 20. Leaner and a bit tougher, just need to season longer. Looking for whole pig right now.
