Naw.. this is trying to recapture the 50s..
  • Japan was a basket case
  • Europe was a basket case
  • US had incredible surplus capacity after the war
  • China was a third world village
  • India was a third world village
  • The world was the US' oyster

I said this starting maybe 10 years ago ?

Now China and India with masses of population.. masses of well educated folks.. Japan a possibly teetering powerhouse.. want their piece of the pie.. that was my US will need to share mantra.. misquoted .. (taken not surprisingly out of context on another thread..) the world has changed.. only militarily destroying (not an option) them will put the genie back in the bottle..

Curiously we don't hear much about Elon's largest factory being in China.. Trump will buy a Tesla to support Elon LOL.. Yet just imagine how many jobs Elon could bring home if he was really a patriot lol good paying jobs.. jobs to build a new plant.. and protect his tech from China.. oh wait.. China's EV tech might already be better..

I think you are off mark or Tesla would come home..

Or maybe just another case of Orwell..

4 legs good
2 legs better :)
