The Citizen 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Models with Washi Paper Dials

monochrome-watches.com

I own two older variations of this watch, both the same quartz battery operated movement. Would have to look up specifics but neither had as fancy of a dial as below. The Citizen was a black dial with some printed/engraved pattern on it. The battery was either 5 or 10 years expectancy, forget exactly. It came with a titanium bracelet which I removed and put on a waterproof pleather strap. The other had the same movement but in a less angular case in their Campanola line and a nicer lacquer black dial and better luminous material on the hands and markers. 5-10 seconds per year accuracy is common for the movement which is amazing. Think I paid around $1k each used, LNIB. They are tremendous values imo, if you are ok with quartz movements and want a simple highly accurate watch. The perpetual calendar is useful and another cool feature is there's a simple adjustment on the crown to change the hour hand forward or backward to change time while maintaining the calendar and seconds hand running so if changing timezones it can maintain its accuracy while adjusting hours. Someday will likely upgrade to a solar eco-drive version and the watch below is a fine candidate for my tastes.
