Intel found its new CEO: Intel appoints Lip-Bu Tan as CEO to orchestrate turnaround at struggling chipmaker, stock jumps 12% (CNBC) Tan is the former CEO of Cadence Design Systems, so he has plenty of experience in digital design. However, this guy also serves on the boards of various companies, so I get the sense that he is more of a suit than an engineer. That, plus his focus on digital design over manufacturing, is a sign to me that Intel is about to spin off the fabs, especially Intel Foundry. Tenchusatsu
