30-Day Progressive Rock Song Challenge continued... 13/30

Day 13: A song you like from the '70s

For today’s pick, I’m going with Starcastle – Fountains.

I think this track captures the essence of '70s prog with its lush arrangements and energetic flow. It’s a song that still holds up well today.

It’s a shame Starcastle faced so much criticism for sounding similar to Yes—mostly due to Terry Luttrell’s high-range vocals. But they had their own charm, and I think this live performance is the best way to truly appreciate the band's musicianship.

What’s your favorite prog song from the 70s?
