Fact: The deficit reached $1.15T in the first five months of the current fiscal year.

A fiscal year consists of 12 months.

Therefore, if the current rate of monthly deficit spending continues ...

$1.15T / 5 * 12 = $2.76T

That was a little trick I like to call "math."

As a CPA guy, you should be familiar with that trick.
