The market looks out only 6 months at a time. We, at this time, see a "hot" stock in a "hot" group. Shall we not join the irrational "investors" and stay away from TAVA because of what may on may not happen after y2k?

The problem with this approach is that it will not be obvious when Tava is no longer "hot". Any drop will be viewed by many as a buying opportunity when it is really the beginning of the end.

The short horizon of the market creates opportunities for investors with a longer-term perspective. Evidence suggests that Warren Buffet's investment philosophy isn't futile. You place your bets on rationality and wait patiently for it to prevail.
