Sharkie, this move by the Trump regime should alarm everyone.
First of all, the Venezuelan deportees should have been sent back to Venezuela, not El Salvador.
Therefore, this should be called a rendition instead of deportation. Rendition is the practice of sending a foreign criminal or terrorist suspect covertly to be interrogated in a country with less rigorous regulations for the humane treatment of prisoners. (Some may even call it "human trafficking," but that phrase usually carries other connotations that don't apply here.)
Second, NONE of these deportees were given due process. There were no trials given. No way for any of these prisoners to defend themselves. Many, like Mervin Yamarte, were identified as gang members solely based on tattoos.
Third, why the media so focused on whether Trump ignored a judge's order to turn the plane around? They should be more focused on the fact that Trump did this in the first place, rather than focus on Trump ignoring the judiciary. One is a human rights violation, the other is politics.
Finally, what Marco the Narco said about the innocent people who got caught up in this illegal act should scare anyone. He basically said, "If one of them turns out not to be a gang member, then they're just illegally in our country, and the Salvadorans can then deport them to Venezuela."
This is the equivalent of paying China or North Korea to take our "gang members" and letting them sort out who's guilty and who isn't.
The fact that the mainstream media has become somewhat numb to Trump's blatant and illegal acts proves that Trump's "flood the zone" policy is working.
But I for one will never become numb to this shit.
