Agree with you on the NHC. Their models are very accurate for tropical storms.I had always thought tropical systems were the most difficult of any of the worlds weather to predict but not anymore.
These same models are being used for continental weather and it ain't working. When I was a kid I kept a NOAA weather radio and they were very accurate back in the 60's and 70's it was impressive.
It is of my opinion that new models need to be created. I'm sure it will happen,the question is when?
Were already nearing April and New Jersey has only received 1.3/4 inches for the year,NOAA forecasted 2 gully washers for us this month and they blew those forecasts as we received only scattered showers. :(
