Day 19: A song that makes you think about life

My pick today is Time Travellers by Riverside



Riverside is an often overlooked prog band so I wanted to include something from them.

This song is about the passage of time, looking back, and holding onto moments that have slipped away. It’s moody and reflective, but also carries a message of embracing the present and looking ahead with hope.

Time Travellers is from Riverside’s Love, Fear, and the Time Machine. The album was criticized for being too soft and a departure from their earlier work, but that doesn’t bother me. I listen to music all day, so a song has to have a strong riff, hook or melody that sticks with me—and this one does.
