Each TA has his own herd of people and those follow him, others have their own herds. I suspect they might follow the lead of another TA, like an implicit collusion?.
We are all, by definition, part of the herd. But we are not all herded alike, and that is why TA has failed more and more compared to the halcyon days of the 20's when gurus would print and thousands would ruch to buy.
Now we are a jaded lot and liable to look at 3-4 TA people, and they all differ, and yet you would expect a "technical analysis" to be a precise science.
Instead you get arguments and explanation as to why this and that TA failed to predict the stock with precision.

TA is a dummy herd activity. You need to assemble a group of dummies to form your herd first. Different TAs have different herds of dummies. Some are so dumb they are in several herds at the same time.
