30-Day Progressive Rock Song Challenge continued... 22/30

Day 22: A song that moves you forward

For me, Yes – I’ve Seen All Good People is the perfect fit.

This song has such an uplifting feel to it, encouraging us to keep moving forward. The lyrics use chess as a metaphor for looking ahead, thinking strategically, and making choices—urging cooperation and understanding. "Just remember that the goal is for us all to get what we want." It's a classic prog song and one of my favorites.

I specifically chose this live version from the Union period because it includes Tony Kaye on keyboards, who also played keys on the original recording of the song. Most of the older YouTube videos are from after Rick Wakeman joined the band, so I wanted one that featured Kaye. I’ve always loved Tony's big Hammond fadeout at the end of Your Move and All Good People—it feels majestic and powerful even as it fades away.

What songs help you move forward? It's not too late to post your song choices! This thread is all about finding new music to listen to.
