Concord Communications(R), Inc. (NASDAQ:CCRD), and NetScout(R) Systems, Inc., announced today a partnership that leverages each company's award-winning network management solution to deliver the first business-level view of WAN resources. The partnership enables Concord's Network Health - Traffic Accountant to gather detailed RMON2 data from NetScout's family of industry leading WAN Probes. This expansion of Network Health allows network managers to report on special applications and end users across the WAN. The combined solution enables IT managers to document the contributors to WAN traffic, down to the specific application, user and department. IT managers can then leverage this information to implement usage-based billing on the WAN -- typically, the most expensive, recurring network cost.
