Sounds like they are trying to make live dramatic theater an elite bastion where only the privileged get to see a star up close. I'm glad I saw good roster of folks since the 80s at sane prices. Sometimes the rare top performer who comes to DC is only available to season ticket subscribers at that theater or company.

For the rest of us, streaming is such a great value in comparison that leaving the house for any kind of drama except community theater is pointless.
