Tony: Funny how that turned out isn't it! I had the similar thing with MU several times... Just could not bring myself to spend money on it... In exchange had been hurting badly on LSI... Brilliant again...

Wow! Thank goodness for small victories - we have over a million shares traded and we are only down 3/8. Damn do I detect a turn around.... just no interest...

Being the engineer type I have a question for you:

I posted this a number of times a month ago and then again a few days ago - LSI in early to mid 1997 was doing 300 million or so in revenue and capacity was 60% let's say 65% to be generous. That would imply 370 million at 80% capacity.

Yet Corrigan expects 80% capacity and flat revenue of say 325 million.
How can this gel with the previous numbers?

In sorting out the LSI story this has been my one bugaboo (a natural consequence of "commodity" pricing or so I have thought) - I calculated 100% capacity at 450 million sometime ago. That would imply for 80% capacity we would have 360 million in revenues. We are right now 35 to 40 million short!

----

Anyway I'm hoping that the 5 Wonders of the World will push up LSI's earnings over the next year or so. Then maybe that INTC:LSI ratio will go to 4:1 instead of the current 7.5:1 (yes I am an optimist!! a big optimist...)
