BTW, it also involves Europe. Trump is trying to negotiate in small confidence building steps, starting from Black Sea trade corridor. Part of the deal is lifting of sanctions in relation to certain food exports, including insurance and banking related to this trade. And Europe would have to lift its sanctions in compliance with this agreement.

But Europe is refusing to cooperate on the Black Sea trade and is refusing to lift any sanctions. So it is not just Zelensky, it is also Europe that is blocking any and all peace negotiations. Hopefully, Trump is aware of this and will act accordingly.
