Me? Why are you talking about drug addiction? Drug addiction seems to be a big sore spot for you. Sometimes the way someone is made to feel, especially by the people closest to them, can deeply affect their choices. It's possible that feeling constantly inadequate or not good enough played a part in why someone turns to drugs like crack. When someone feels like they can't measure up or are never truly accepted, they might seek escape. If we’re going to help someone heal, we all need to take a hard look at ourselves too.
