I wanted to take a moment to highlight Emerald, the beautiful collaboration between Eric Tingstad, Nancy Rumbel, and Spencer Brewer. This album is a fantastic blend of acoustic guitar, oboe, ocarina and piano, creating a warm and intricate soundscape that embodies the best of instrumental New Age music. One of my favorite pieces from Emerald is Gigue. The interplay between Tingstad’s guitar and Rumbel’s ocarina is especially captivating, with Brewer’s piano adding depth to the composition. It has an uplifting, dance-like quality that showcases the trio’s chemistry and musicianship. If you haven't heard Gigue, I highly recommend giving it a listen. What are your thoughts on Emerald or other works by these artists?
