The repercussions of this idiocy are enormous. Not just cars and bananas. A real estate consortium I am involved with in Florida sent out an email pausing a commercial project because the construction company can no longer produce a GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) due to tariffs and supply uncertainty.

This means that all computations as to the viabilty are off. No way we proceed. Everything depends on guaranteed cost at this point.

Permits will expire. Takes a lot of time to get a new one whenever. The community it was enhancing with grocery store, restaurants, etc. will be sorely disappointed. Property values will be effected.
