It wasn't a fake. It was just someone's idea.
The picture clearly says "Cybertruck 2025" and includes a photo of Elon Musk. It was meant to deceive, not to provide "someone's idea" of what the Cybertruck should look like.

In any case, there is no redesign of the Cybertruck planned in the foreseeable future. It is what it is now. Nothing more than a vanity piece. Something that appeals to content creators on TikTok and YouTube.

Personally I wouldn't mind the sharp edges and the stainless steel IF the Cybertruck were engineered more properly. Perhaps in a year or two, there will be an engineering refresh, and a lot of the cut corners will be remedied, figuratively speaking.

As it is right now, the Cybertruck is just an unreliable POS that has to be constantly recalled.

Which just proves the old adage. Never buy the first model year of a new car. Or in the case of Cybertruck, the first generation.
