| This is the last hurrah for the Boomers who voted in Pierre Trudeau. Not all boomers will vote for Carney, but at the moment, polls suggest there are enough of them to assure an electoral win for Carney. Mark Carney is a close friend of Gerald Butts and shares the same views. Gerald Butts stated, "Truth be told, we don't think there ought to be a carbon-based energy industry by the middle of this century. That's our policy in Canada and it's our policy all over the world." He further elaborated that the real alternative to the Northern Gateway route is not an alternative route; it is an alternative economy. What sickens me is that Carney will say anything to get elected when he his net zero agenda is front and center. To quote Carney from his book "values", Carney writes "Western society is morally rotten, and it has been corrupted by capitalism. This requires rigid controls of personal freedoms, industry and corporate funding. This is not a promise to make the lives of ordinary people better, but temporarily worse. This will be a world of severely constrained choice, less flying, less meat, more inconvenience and temporarily more poverty. Assets will be stranded, gasoline cars will be unsellable, and inefficient properties will be un-rentable". This is Carney's bleak vision to build a better world. You have all been warned. |
