I'm down 27% from my high, with my biotechs all getting absolutely crushed. SRPT in particular has been butchered and is trading at a forward PE of 4, worse than a car company. Apparently rumors are that RFK is going to revoke their gene therapy approval because he thinks it's wrong to fiddle with the DNA of children. I see so many of my biotech holdings basically on a firesale, and it tempts me to sell a chunk of my index funds and buy these names, but I thought that was a good idea two weeks ago. Would be interested in where people on this board think the bottom is going to be. How much cheaper can biotechs get? My broker at Wells today told me that they have taken a number of biotech names (several that I hold) off margin, and I assume similar actions are happening elsewhere. He also told me the hedge fund guys are getting absolutely slaughtered between the falling price and the rush of redemptions which forces them to sell even more into a falling market. Shades of late 2008. I remember scrounging for every last cent when IMMU share price dipped below a dollar.
