The Blue Problem: OLED stability and Degradation Mechanisms Jan 23, 2024
Another report disclosed a device with a LT95 of just under 500 h (LT50 of 8000 h) and an EQEmaxof 11.9% with a different pyrene-based compound as the emitter ( Figure 2b) and CzPA( Figure 3b) as the host in a TTA-UC system
UBI: Samsung to delay the introduction its first blue phosphorescent AMOLDs to the second half of 2025, Nov 2023
UBI says that the blue OLED still suffers from low lifetime - the lifetime of the blue PHOLED stack is only 55% of the lifetime of its current fluorescence-blue stack.
From an ACS Pub dtd Aug 2018
…a Blue Fluorescent Blue light emitter had a LT50 >30,000 hrs. I do not know if this was used by UDC.
Chemical Engineering Journal, 22 Dec 2022
…blue PhOLEDs exhibited maximum external quantum efficiency of 20.9%, color coordinate of (0.16, 0.29), and device lifetime of 13,573 h at 100 cd m-2, which was 4.2 times longer than that of state of the art blue device. Furthermore, the optimized blue PhOLEDs demonstrated device lifetime longer than 25,000 h, which is one of the longest device lifetimes of blue PhOLEDs without any sensitization or outcoupling enhancement. |
