Hi Joe,
Leveraged ETFs are perfect for aim investing because they move around so much. That movement really allows AIM to do its thing. There's a lot of negativity about leveraged ETFs in general on the internet. I understand a lot of the concerns regarding leverage ETFs. But I've been using them for years for short-term trading and have recently been doing some back testing on some of them as well. Not nearly to the extent you've been doing it. I've been primarily testing the TQQQ and UPRO. They work great as aim vehicles. In just about every time frame since they're inception, they have outperformed standard indexes.

I have tried and tested primarily monthly rebalancing. I also tested UPRO on a quarterly rebalance just trying to see if trading less often on the leveraged ETFs was fruitful. It was. For someone who only wanted to trade a few times a year, UPRO definitely had pretty legit returns using the AIM method since the inception of UPRO. Even the quarter rebalancing yielded around 18% CAGR. That's pretty impressive.

I think the leveraged ETFs are fine if used sparingly. We probably should not have 100% of our portfolio in leveraged to ETFs. However, I do keep around 10% or 20% allocated to these leveraged vehicles. It definitely enhances returns that the other more traditional parts of the portfolio is capable of.

Whenever you have the results, I'd love to see them. In addition to some of the methodology you used for testing. Thank you for taking the time to test these and I look forward to seeing the results.

Dan
