Mr J.W. Morton of Wildrose Resources reports
Wildrose and optionee Clear Creek will begin a diamond drill program on the
Indata property on February 26 1998. Clear Creek has the right to earn a
51% interest in the property by spending $1,500,000 on exploration, making
cash payments of $180,000 and issuing 50,000 shares by July 31 2000. Clear
Creek successfully completed an initial $100,000 diamond drill program in
1996 and is starting a second program with a $200,000 budget.
The Indata property, 120km north of Fort St James, BC, has been explored by
Wildrose and its predecessor company, Eastfield Resources since 1987.
Previous drill results have included 1.378 oz/ton Au over 4m from veins and
up to 0.12% Cu over 97m from the porphyry style mineralized andesite and
diorite. Higher grade porphyry mineralized rubble grading up to 2.76% Cu
has been found up slope from previous drilling and is, in part, the focus
of the current program.
Clear Creek completed the construction of approximately 2km of road
extensions and spurs in January. Fourteen drill sites were constructed from
the new roads.
