Alex,
Inalienable rights. They're defined in the US Constitution. Alas, they are inalienable rights in a vacuum.
Out of the vacuum, people and animals alike enjoy inalienable rights, but only so long as we enforce them or insist upon them. I guess that any right we can demand and bring about for ourselves and, most importantly, keep for ourselves remains an inalienable right or a right that cannot be taken away as long as we hang onto it for dear life.
Something I left out of my pet post is training. Dogs are like computers. They do exactly what you tell them to do, rather than what you really want them to do. They are formula creatures. Consistent and firm training is a large piece of the pie of happy pet ownership. There are some excellent dog-training and purchasing websites on the Internet. I'm in the process of compiling a list of these sites which meet my exacting standards.
Yes, Alex, without doubt you are a warm and fuzzy guy. No matter what anybody says about you, I always tell them what a warm and fuzzy guy you are. And I really, really mean it. <vvbg>
