I carried on a bit of correspondence with Peikhoff (not so much), Harry Binswanger, and David Kelly in the 90's when I was in college. This was close in time to the big split and lots of drama. Usenet was absolutely on fire with rather nutty Objectivists.

I am a big fan of Ayn Rand, but what came after her is definitely on the crazy spectrum. Most of them I put in the same nut bag as Lyndon LaRouche followers.
