FC, Carter was a great humanitarian and a man of integrity, but his policies as president were weak and ineffective.

Unfortunately, Carter's character is often regarded as part of the reason why he was such a weak president. To the MAGA cultists, especially those who were brainwashed by the so-called "manosphere," integrity is a weakness. Character is a weakness. Nice guys finish last.

That's why the MAGA cultists LOVE Trump. He's a "man of action." He's a "fighter." He's doing much more in his first few months in office than all of his predecessors.

And that's why Trump still enjoys a relatively high approval rating of 41%, despite all the damage he has done.

I still believe that character counts. Unfortunately I'm in the minority, since most Americans now believe in personality much more than character.
