I agree. I also don't see why they want to bring back coal production. Black lung disease is no laughing matter. Gotlieb also said China is pulling ahead of us on cancer research, especially for lung cancer, because their hospitals in large cities have thousands of patients to try different therapies on. That is a byproduct of their poor environmental rules in manufacturing and heavy use of coal in cities for power. We don't want that here after spending generations improving worker safety and health.

I believe learning to service robots making shoes would be a good job and once the skill is learned, you can move on to service robots for senior care. It is crazy expensive now to get someone to help care for family members in the home here in the Bay Area. I believe my middle class, apartment dwelling friend in Hong Kong still imports "helpers" from Malaysia to live in her home even as her kid is in college. Here in the US, I'm sure we'll be renting robots that are smart enough to call for help if we fall and can't get up to reach a phone to call for help on our own while doing some household tasks like cooking and cleaning. My GF is paying $30 to $35 per hr. for 10 hrs per week to get retired ladies who speak Chinese to keep her mother company and maybe cook some food while she can get away for a break.
