| | | If Samsung sticks to the same launch schedule as last year, we can expect the Galaxy Z Flip 7 to launch sometime this summer, likely in June or July.
According to Ross Young, co-founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) and VP of Research at Counterpoint Research, Samsung may have also improved the crease [in the Flip 7], by making it less visible, something it showed off at MWC 2025. Samsung may also apply a blue phosphorescent material to its OLED panel to make it more efficient and consume less power.

Apple usually dislikes having an exclusive supplier for any of its components, but in this case it seems as if SDC's technology superiority in the field of foldable displays (especially around the minimization of the screen crease) has forced Apple to use only SDC displays. The reports suggest that Samsung will begin the display production towards the end of 2025 (or perhaps early 2026).
