The BC Wildfire Service has issued warnings for the northeast corner of the province because of the continuing severe drought in the region. Due to the drought a number of fires from last year were able to overwinter and have sprung back up to active status. Here is a more general warning from the provincial government that contains a link to the specific current state of BC drought and wildfire risk. msn.com In other news, even though Donald J. Destroyer recently reissued his threat to take over Canada, BC's and other provincial governments have reiterated that they will be there to help with this year's wildfires in the US if needed. LC
