Tom,
<<Stitch, from your perspective in K.L., do you sense that Malaysian banks are tight on credit these days? My question is related to APM's reliance on uncommitted lines from Malaysian banks. Are they in a pulling lines mode? If yes, APM might become cash strapped rather soon. (read the last 10Q)>>

Yes, Malaysian banks have substantially reduced lending. You may want to visit this URL to get a flavor of the numbers:
bnm.gov.my

I think AMC employs enough folks in Malaysia to keep the dogs at bay and so far there has not been any wholesale calls by the banks. But it is an added area of risk for a company already plagued by risk.

<<Yes, I am short APM - as of this A.M. Fell under the influence of Lawrence Kam, lost my head. Sorry>>

Absolutely no apology necessary. I am not one of those opposed to short plays on some misguided moral/ethics basis. I have long ago passed my ALTRUIST shirt button to a younger, less experienced person. Business is largely about winners and losers. (I've been both and you can guess which I liked best). The reason I am not a short player is simply that I think you have to know 3 times as much and be 5 times as nimble to be successful at it. I have neither quality and find it enough strain and challenge to occasionally pick a stock that appreciates a bit. Best to you and Lawrence in your short and long positions. (And I used to think that the term "caught up in your shorts " had something to do with underwear.)
Best,
Stitch
