Wavecom SA, VLSI Technology Inc. In Development Pact

SOPHIA-ANTIPOLIS, France (Dow Jones)--Wavecom SA agreed to use VLSI Technology Inc.'s (VLSI) OneC development platform to build GSM, or global system for communciations, products.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

In a press release Monday, Wavecom said it has worked with VLSI for the past three years developing products including Wavecom's GSM900 and DCS1800 modules.

OneC is an integrated, customizable single-chip baseband silicon product.

Wavecom provides wireless system designs, product and systems for radio communications markets.

VLSI designs and makes system-level silicon integrated circuits.
