With lots of time on a pair of trans-Atlantic flights, I waded into "movies that kill time" territory. "Gladiator II" was better than expected, even if it never captured the edge and spirit of the original. Ditto "Blade Runner 2049" that would have not held my attention sitting on the sofa but had a valid plot line (even if the ending gets pretty unfocused). "Lee" was a nice surprise (on Hulu). Kate Winslett plays Lee Miller, the first female war correspondent in WW2. Worth a look if you have Hulu.
