The XAU is basically flat today. There is a dominant nominal 14.5/7.25 yr cycle pattern in the XAU. During each of the two previous 14.5 yr patterns, when the XAU got to the point in the right hand quadrant, about it where it is now, it crashed. Gold topped about the same time or shortly thereafter, and retreated dramatically. Will it happen again is the key present question? The past does not always precisely predict the future.
