Several of the fires that overwintered in northeastern BC due to the deep extended drought have now been declared out of control. We are indecent shape for snow pack in parts of BC, albeit still vulnerable to a heat wave melting it all too soon. Unfortunately NE BC and the central coast and parts of Vancouver Island are still in trouble. We are being warned to prepare for another bad fire season. LC
