What an amazing contrary indicator, this contest folding after two decades right before the S hits the F. The timing makes a nice bookend to that notoriously bad decision by Gordon Brown to dispose of 395 tonnes of gold from the UK treasury in 1999, receiving 285 to 300 per ounce, a mere 8.5% of it's value today.
