This reminds me that David Goldman - one of the most insightful people about political issues, a hedge fund manager, business consultant, author, a person who spent time in Russia - and mostly in China, on business - by education is a Musicologist. In fact, he had a many year correspondence with pope Benedict - about music.

When they say he’s a Renaissance man of our age - yeah, he is.
